Who I am

I live in Sacramento with 4 cats.

I have worked in beauty for 22 years, as a makeup artist and a cosmetic tattoo artist. I also have psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, IBS, GERD and asthma. Which is a long way of saying I have spent most of my adult life negotiating with my own body. I'm also over 40.

I make videos about what life actually looks like for someone who is going through this. What I eat. How I move on the days I can. Sobriety, perimenopause, and the parts nobody posts about.

I am an introvert, so this is more unedited than polished. That is sort of the point.

I am not a doctor and I am not selling a protocol. Everything here is my own experience.

New video every other week

Eating, moving and living well with autoimmune disease after 40. Realistic days in my life with no cures, no protocols, no before-and-afters.

Five recipes that don't make me feel worse

Gluten free, under thirty minutes, with items you may already have available in your pantry. They are five of the recipes I ate while I lost 50 pounds during an arthritis flare. Free, plus whatever I am working out that week.

The recipe book

Everything I actually cooked during that year, written down. Gluten free, under thirty minutes, most of it batch cooks. Sorted by how much you can manage that day rather than by meal, because that is what got me through each day.

It is not finished yet. Get on the list above and you will hear about it first.

Talk to me

I read everything that comes through here. Good things to send:

  • Brand partnerships and collaborations
  • Podcast, interview or guest post requests
  • A topic you want me to cover
  • Something I got wrong

One thing I cannot help with. I am not a doctor, and I cannot advise you on your diagnosis, your symptoms or your treatment. If you are in the thick of it right now, I am sorry. Truly. But the person who can actually help you is your care team.
